These Terms govern your use of the Nautiq mobile application and the Nautiq web portal at nautiq-doc.com (together, the “App”). By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
Nautiq is a tool that helps seafarers organise maritime certificates and documents, track expiry dates, record voyages, build a CV, and optionally back up data to the cloud. The App is provided for personal, professional organisational use.
2. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
- You are responsible for keeping copies of, and maintaining the validity of, your official certificates and documents. Nautiq is an organisational aid and is not an official record, nor a substitute for documents issued by competent authorities.
- You must use the App lawfully and not misuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt it.
3. AI Features
The App offers AI-assisted document analysis and an AI assistant. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for convenience only. Always verify important information against your official documents and the relevant authorities. Do not rely on AI output for compliance decisions.
4. Purchases & Subscriptions
The App may offer paid plans (one-time purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions) sold through Google Play. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Google Play under its terms. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account.
5. Availability
We aim to keep the App working reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change or be discontinued.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nautiq is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on the App, lost data, or expired or invalid documents.
7. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see Account & Data Deletion). We may suspend access for misuse.
8. Encryption & Account Recovery
Your documents are end-to-end encrypted on your device; only you hold the key. Because of this, we cannot reset your password or recover your documents for you. If you lose your recovery code and access to all your signed-in devices, your encrypted data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. You are responsible for safely keeping your recovery code. 9. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
11. Operator & Contact
NAUTIQ is currently operated by [OPERATOR NAME], an individual sole operator based in Romania. This section will be updated if and when NAUTIQ is established as a registered legal entity, at which point the operating entity, its registration details and the related liability terms will be stated here.
